Stimulation of single 'largest' or 'marginal' labellar chemosensilla can evoke ipsi- and contralateral labellar lobe spreading responses in Protophormia. Measurements of reflex latencies indicate that the response is triggered by messages coming from the 'largest' ipsilateral chemosensilla. Input from the 'marginal' chemosensilla would play a role in maintaining the already triggered response.

Abstract
Stimulation of single 'largest' or 'marginal' labellar chemosensilla can evoke ipsi- and contralateral labellar lobe spreading responses in Protophormia. Measurements of reflex latencies indicate that the response is triggered by messages coming from the 'largest' ipsilateral chemosensilla. Input from the 'marginal' chemosensilla would play a role in maintaining the already triggered response.File in questo prodotto:
